Day 1 - Wednesday August 22
On the way to Texas

The team left for Texas Motor Speedway around noon and headed west on I-10 there. More than 1,000 miles to go.

The new semi has been amazing, it's great publicity for our sponsors and it's wonderful having everything together in one trailer, easy to get to. Darley's Plumbing Racing has taken it to the next level with the new semi.

This afternoon we were given the opportunity to meet and talk to a MDOT (Mississippi Department of Transportation) officer when we were stopped at a weigh station at the state line. We had a nice chat with the racing enthusiast before we were on our way again.

Day 2 - Thursday August 23
From Mississippi to Texas

Today we left our hotel (which shall remain nameless) and after a $12 a person continental breakfast, the team was back out on the road. We crossed through Mississippi, Louisiana, and into Texas.

We finished the 1000+ mile drive and pulled into Texas Motor Speedway tonight. We met with some of the Major League of Monster Trucks staff and got to where we are going to be pitting for the next two days of racing.

Day 3 - Friday August 24
Friday night racing

Tonight we started racing, on a s-shaped track. We are racing one at a time and against the clock.

After the first round Kevin's truck broke when the top heim joint broke on the rear four link. Causing the pinion to brake in the drive shaft. So now Kevin's truck is done for the weekend.

John finished in fifth place, after driving two smooth runs and putting on a good show getting big air on the jumps.

The show was very good tonight, with good racing and freestyle's being put on by the drivers. Stay tuned for tomorrow's racing information.

Day 4- Saturday August 25
Saturday Night Racing

Tonight was a good night of racing for Darley's Plumbing Racing. John finished in 3rd, just missing 2nd place. He had a very fast first run, and in the second put on a great show for the crowd when he hit a monster truck jump and then put the truck on two wheels coming into the final corner. The crowd was ecstatic for both runs, but they were on their feet as soon as the truck went up on two wheels.

The racing was very good tonight, and the Major League of Monster Trucks put on a great show for everyone.

We have already loaded up, and tomorrow we are starting the two day trip home.
